The Maldives National University (MNU) has revealed that it will conduct a job festival in November.
The job festival, open to MNU students and the public, will be held from November 9-10. The festival will be held at the MNU campus in Male' City as well as the other campuses in the atolls of the country. The job festival, titled MNU Green Opportunity, is a marketplace that will connect job creators, employers, students, and job seekers in the Maldives with those who want to advance in various technical and skilled fields. Admission to the festival will be free to the public.
The aim of the festival is to provide a green environment for the public to showcase the job opportunities available in different parts of the country and the various income or work experience opportunities available in different institutions available in Male'. It will also create an environment where various opportunities, brands, or types that have not been so widely reached to the public, familiarises with various industrial opportunities in the country, and encourages such activities to create and maintain interest.
The first MNU job festival was held in June 2022 and 32 participants including leading companies of the country and government institutions took part. MNU urged those interested in participating in the job festival to fill out the application forms and submit them before October 24.
