Kudarikilu water and sewerage project commences

Fenaka Corporation Limited has commenced developing a water and sewerage project in Kudarikilu, Baa Atoll.

President of Kudarikilu Island Council Abdul Hannan Abbas said the reverse osmosis (RO) building is the first to be constructed as part of the project. He said the island faces various problems due to the water and sewerage system established on the island 13 years ago.

Fenaka was contracted to establish water supply and sewerage systems in the five islands in 2021. Fenaka is now preparing to commence the projects in Kihaadhoo, Dhonfanu, Fehendhoo, and Fulhadhoo in Baa Atoll. The utility company revealed surveys for the project have now been completed and ongoing is the work to clear the sites.
