State Trading Organisation (STO) has held an event called Makita Night to promote Japan's Makita brand products.
The event was attended by STO employees, Makita suppliers, and a large number of stakeholders. STO showcased Makita brand products to the attendees at the event.
During the event, the General Manager of Marketing Communications at STO Mariyam Paruveen Abdul Faththah said the main objective of Makita Night was to strengthen the relationship with Makita's suppliers and stakeholders.
Speaking to PSM News, Singapore Regional Sales Manager at Makita Pramod Chandran said that the Maldives has played an important role in the growth of the Makita brand. He said the fact that the Maldives is a popular tourist destination also plays a major role in further expanding the brand.
Makita's new products include battery-powered water heaters and Bluetooth speakers. It also includes tree trimmers, electric saws, and tin cutters.
The Makita brand joined STO in 1998 to market its products in the Maldives.
