Gov't awards contacts to develop sports facilities in two islands

Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has signed agreements with contractors for the development of sports facilities in two islands and the replacement of the turf at the No. 4 Football Stadium in Hulhumale'.

The youth ministry awarded contacts for the development of the Football Stadium in Raimmandhoo in Meemu Atoll and the Youth and Community Centre in Gemanafushi in Gaafu Alifu Atoll. The ministry awarded the development of the Raimmandhoo Football Stadium to NG Investment Private Limited to be completed within 50 days at the cost of USD95,197. The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of the Youth Ministry Hawwa Nihaal and the Managing Director at NG Investment Ismail Latheef. Additionally, Lycans Investment Group Private Limited was awarded the contract to develop the Youth and Community Centre in Gemanafushi. The project is to be completed within 120 days at a cost of USD300,000. The agreement was signed by Senior Executive Director at the Youth Ministry Ismail Rauf and the Owner of Lycan Investment Group Abdulla Kaleem.

Furthermore, the ministry also awarded the contract to NG Investment for the replacement of the turf at Hulhumale' No. 4 Football Stadium. The agreement was signed by Senior Executive Director at the Youth Ministry Ahmed Shazeen and Managing Director at NG Investment Ismail Latheef. The project is to be completed within 14 days at a cost of USD74,200.
