Education Minister meets with Arabiyya School parents

Minister of Education Aishath Ali has held a meeting with the parents of Arabiyya School and listened to their concerns and shared information about the development of the new school building.

The meeting was held at the Ministry of Education to hear the concerns of parents about the difficulties encountered in the running of the school. The parents expressed concerns about the challenges faced by the students and some of the changes in the school’s operations. As such, the parents of the school pointed out that the most important thing is the difficulties faced by the children were due to the lack of a school building.

Arabiyya School is currently run in the building formerly occupied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The government is working to accelerate the construction of the new building. It is being constructed on the land plot that housed the former Jamaluddin School. The demolition of the existing building in the land plot will be completed by the end of November.

The government also aims to complete the construction of the new building by the end of December 2023 and begin classes by the start of the second term of 2024. The new school will have 41 classrooms and all the necessary facilities.
