Maldives and Singapore discuss sharing expertise

The Maldives and Singapore have discussed sharing expertise in adopting initiatives and programmes. The discussion was held during a meeting between the High Commissioner of Singapore to the Maldives Soo Kok Leng and Vice President Faisal Naseem.

During the meeting held at the President’s Office, Vice President Naseem congratulated High Commissioner Leng on his new appointment and welcomed him to the Maldives. They emphasised the strong relationship between the two countries and spoke on the importance of close collaboration in areas of mutual benefit.

Additionally, Vice President Naseem and High Commissioner Leng spoke on ways to further expand relations between the two countries, especially in human resource development, education, trade, agriculture, renewable energy, climate change, and the environment. They also highlighted the need for both countries to share knowledge and expertise in adopting initiatives and programmes, such as educational curriculum development, vocational training, modern agricultural methods, and rehabilitation programmes.

In conclusion, Vice President Naseem and High Commissioner Leng reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the coming years.
