BML honours 68 long-serving employees

Bank of Maldives (BML) has presented awards to 68 employees who have worked in the bank for 15-40 years. The national bank presented the awards at a special event to honour the loyalty of its long-serving employees held at Dharubaaruge' convention centre.

During the event, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aishath Noordeen, Development Banking Director Fathimath Manike, and Senior Facilities Officer Moosa Mohamed received special commendations for having served the bank for 40 years, since its inception. Senior Reconciliation Officer Firag Ahmed, who has served the bank for 35 years also received special recognition at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, CEO Karl Stumke expressed his most sincere gratitude for the several years of hard work, dedication, and diligence to build and advance BML as the leading bank in the country. He said that their institutional knowledge is irreplaceable and is what adds to the unique culture of the bank.

BML is the largest bank and one of the largest employers in the Maldives, with 99% of its staff base being locals. The bank takes great pride in implementing forward-looking human resources policies to ensure the highest professional standards of employee recruitment, development, and reward. The bank holds regular events to honor its top-performing staff and to recognize their loyal service including Staff Awards and Long Service Awards.
