Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the winners of the Small Grants fund introduced as part of the series of 12 high impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The Small Grants fund was announced to support non-government organisations (NGOs) implement community-based projects that address environmental issues and promote sustainable development. Each winner will receive a grant of USD16,000 to successfully implement the plan.
The eight NGOs which won the small grants are Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA), Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT), Vaadhoo Association for Future Development (VAFD), Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (Kurevi), Women in Fuvahmulah, Small Island Research Group, Huvadhoo Aid, and Kihaadhoo Development Society (KIDS).
