HDC concludes Smartcom Fair in Hulhumale'

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has concluded the Smartcom Fair 2022 held in Central Park, Hulhumale'. The fair, organised by HDC, was attended by telecommunications, banking, and technology companies.

The state-owned HDC said the fair was aimed to educate people on applications and other digital platforms for services, familiarise people with modern technology, and prepare Smart Citizens for a Smart City. HDC stated that the companies that participated in the fair, set up stalls, gave presentations, and provided information about the services they provide and about smart city solutions. Useful information on pressing issues such as cyber safety was given with the aim of improving the digital literacy of the public. The fair was held to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Open Access Network service launched by HDC and the second phase of the project is being serviced through it.

Chief Commercial Officer(CEO) of HDC Ahmed Nafiz extended his gratitude to the partners, attendees, and participants for making the fair a success. He said that a lot of effort is being done to make Hulhumale' a technology-friendly city. HDC stated that also launched new technology services, including the construction of electric vehicle charging points. HDC said it aims to provide tech-enabled services to the public.
