HDC appoints disability ambassadors

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has appointed Aminath Irasha and Ahmed Najeeb as Disability Ambassadors. They were appointed on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

HDC stated that they will be advocating for persons with disabilities and work extensively within the organisation towards building an inclusive society in Hulhumale’. They can be contacted via the HDC hotline 1516 to submit complaints or opinions.

The disability ambassadors are tasked with voicing the opinions and concerns of persons with disabilities and providing them with equal opportunities in the community during the work to develop Hulhumale’. They will also monitor for any emerging issues for persons with disabilities and provide solutions to HDC and monitor the progress of the work. Additionally, they will assist HDC in conducting awareness programmes.
