Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated that numerous developmental projects are progressing in Addu City.
Speaking at the inauguration of new services at the Hulhumeedhoo Healthcare Centre, Vice President Naseem said the expansion of services at Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) is a huge development for the entire region and that numerous developmental projects have commenced easing access to healthcare.
Furthermore, Vice President Naseem said that the country’s borders were re-opened following the COVID-19 pandemic to allow citizens in need of health services to travel to other countries which have established diplomatic relations with the Maldives. He said the diplomatic ties were a result of the administration’s foreign policy. He also highlighted the introduction of new healthcare services across the country within the last four years.
During his visit to Addu, Vice President Faisal Naseem met with officials of Gan International Airport (GIA) and students of the flying school. At the meetings, he spoke about the administration’s plans to develop the aviation industry further. He also met with the senior management and staff of Maradhoo School, inquired about the school's current situation, and spoke about the administration’s education sector development plans.
