Contract awarded for expansion of Holhudhoo Health Centre

Ministry of Health has contracted Lyco Construction Company Private Limited to complete the unfinished works in the extension building of the Heath Centre in Holhudhoo, Noonu Atoll.

The health ministry revealed Lyco Construction was tasked to complete the unfinished works at the health centre within six months at a cost of USD234,000.

The government is doing a lot of work to renovate and expand the old health centers on various islands. The state budget includes the development of health centres in 60 islands. The government has handed over the projects to contractors and the projects are underway. The budget for 2023 also includes a number of health centre renovations and a budget of USD36 million has been allocated for upgrading health facilities in 132 islands.
