Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has built 491 wheelchair ramps in Hulhumale’ Phase I.
HDC stated that wheelchair ramps are being built in various parts of Hulhumale’ to make traveling easier for people with disabilities. HDC noted that there are also a large number of people with disabilities in Hulhumale’ Phase II and that wheelchair ramps were built near the Hiyaa flats area, including at the exit of each tower.
A wheelchair ramp is also being built at the beach in Hulhumale’ Phase II. HDC is implementing changes for ease of public convenience in Hulhumale’ for the increasing residential population and visitors.
