Nilandhoo Council acknowledges significant developmental progress

Nilandhoo Island Council has noted the significant number of developmental projects carried out by the administration and extended their gratitude to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The remarks were made during a meeting held by President Solih with the Nilandhoo Island Council and members of the Women's Development Committee (WDC).

During the meeting, the council members shared the most pertinent needs and concerns of the island's community, including addressing coastal protection, difficulties in utilising the harbour, and the need for a new youth centre and road construction following the completion of the island's sewerage network project. They also noted space constraints at the council office. The members of the WDC shared their concerns about the sale of agricultural produce through Agro National Corporation (Agro Nat) and budget constraints.

Speaking with the community leaders, President Solih briefed them about the administration's developmental agenda for the island. He also assured the administration's commitment to finding solutions for the concerns raised at the meeting.

Projects initiated by the administration to develop a new building for the school, Agro Nat, and volleyball court have been completed.
