Air Conditioning issues in King Salman Mosque resolved

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has revealed that the air conditioning issues in King Salman Mosque have been resolved following complaints from worshippers.

Earlier, the Islamic ministry said the air conditioning of the mosque would be repaired by a team of technicians from Türkiye before the end of the month. In addition, the team will also work on fixing the sound system of the mosque after complaints from worshippers.

The King Salman Mosque was opened to the public for prayers on April 1. The Islamic ministry previously revealed that the mosque would be officially opened by a delegation of the government of Saudi Arabia, but said the delegation has not yet given a definite date for their arrival.

The King Salman Mosque is a donation to the Maldives by the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud. The mosque was designed and constructed by Turkish contractor Alke-Turmaks. The mosque is designed to accommodate 4,000 worshippers at once and showcases Islamic culture and heritage.
