Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has decided to allocate heavy vehicle paid parking spaces in Hulhumale' on a tender basis.
HDC is working together with the government to find a solution to the parking problem in the Greater Male' Region. As such, HDC decided to allocate parking spaces from the heavy vehicle parking zone near the Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) in Hulhumale'.
HDC stated that the opportunity to apply for the lease of 19 spaces has now been opened. The opportunity to submit bids is open from January 17. The parking spaces available for rent include three spaces for 40-foot trailers, two spaces for 20-foot trailers, 10 spaces for vehicles such as dump trucks or lorries, and four spaces for cranes.
HDC decided to lease the spaces in the order of the highest bidder. The starting bid price for these parking spaces is USD0.78 per sqft per month and the spaces will be leased for a period of two years.
