A physiotherapy clinic specialised in treating sports-related injuries has been opened in Male’ City.
Minister of Health Ahmed Naseem inaugurated Tree Top Hospital’s TTH Clinic at Champa Villa. TTH Clinic offers sports therapy, pain management, post-operative rehabilitation, and occupational therapy services. It also provides blood testing services and speech therapy for children. The national health insurance scheme, Aasandha, is accepted at the clinic.
At the opening ceremony, Minister Naseem highlighted the importance of having a clinic to treat sports-related injuries in Male’, which would allow patients to seek treatment without having to travel to Hulhumale’. He also said that the ministry will be holding a meeting this year with all stakeholders in the health sector, including the private sector, to address the challenges they face. He acknowledged the services provided by the private sector and the Tree Top Hospital's contribution and said TTH Clinic would play an essential role in ensuring patients receive better care.
Also at the ceremony, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tree Top Hospital Adil Moosa said the rehabilitative services at Tree Top Hospital is also available at TTH Clinic, along with laboratory services. He said that patients in Male’ that need special physiotherapy services will no longer have to bear the burden of having to travel to Hulhumale’.
