Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has sold 17 plots of land in Hulhumale' for state purposes.
The government bought land plots from HDC for USD56.9 million. The land includes plots between 15,000 and 66,000sqm. The land plots were bought for state purposes and the details of the works to be carried out have not yet been disclosed.
The Civil Court of the Maldives ruled that the transaction was valid and the ownership of the lands has been transferred to the government.
