Ooredoo Maldives has approved USD0.197 per share as the dividend for 2022. The decision was passed with votes from 87% of the shareholders present at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The AGM was attended by 125 shareholders representing around 136 million shares or 92% of the total issued shares. The majority of shareholders approved the distribution of USD0.197 per share as the dividend for 2022, which is an increase compared to the distribution of USD0.18 shares in 2021.
The shareholders also approved the Audited Financial Statements for 2022 and the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as the auditors and their remuneration of USD4,000.
Ooredoo generated a revenue of USD36 million in 2022, which is a 21% increase compared to 2021. Ooredoo distributed the largest amount in 2019, with USD0.2 per share.
