Italian flag carrier ITA Airways has decided to continue flight operations to the Maldives following last year’s success. The flight operations will be from December 16 this year to March 25 next year.
ITA Airways will operate flights between Rome and Velana International Airport (VIA) for the winter season. The flights between Italy and Maldives will make two trips each week. The opportunity to book tickets has also been opened.
Italy is the fourth biggest source market to the Maldives. A total of 55,594 tourists arrived from Italy so far this year, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
