Ministry of Health has contracted LMS Private Limited to construct an intensive care unit (ICU) at Noonu Atoll Hospital in Manadhoo.
LMS is tasked with completing the project within 150 days at a cost of USD298,000. The government has been making efforts to develop Noonu Atoll Hospital, As such, the construction of six outpatient department (OPD) rooms and a laboratory has been completed at the hospital.
The health ministry also plans to develop an extension building for Noonu Atoll Hospital. A contractor has been hired to complete the design work of the project under a contractor financing policy.
