Over 700 students graduate from IUM in 2023

A total of 709 students successfully graduated from diverse academic programmes at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) in 2023. The graduates were presented with certificates by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed at the 2nd session of the IUM Convocation 2023 held at IUM's Conference Hall.

During the ceremony, 709 students successfully graduated from diverse academic programmes at the university. Among the graduates, nine students were honoured with the Best Student Awards. 78 Imams completed their studies through the degree programme initiated by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in collaboration with IUM in 2020. In addition, 214 students completed degree-level courses, 70 students completed postgraduate diploma-level courses and 119 students completed master’s level courses. President Solih presented awards to the graduating Imams and the recipients of the Best Student Awards and First Lady Fazna presented awards to the recipients of the Master of Teaching and Learning programme.

IUM offers 90 different programmes ranging from Certificate Level 1 to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) with a total of 1,705 students are currently enrolled in these programmes.
