Gov’t urges students to take advantage of scholarships

Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan has emphasised the importance of education and taking advantage of the scholarship opportunities provided by the government. He made the remark while speaking as the Chief Guest at the Prize Day ceremony of Kalaafaanu School.

At the ceremony, Minister Hassan underscored the availability of various options for students to pursue a higher secondary education, including the free degree programme and scholarship opportunities. He also highlighted the importance of completing two years of A'level education, as it is a stepping stone to a successful career.

Additionally, Minister Hassan advised students to complete 12 years of formal education in order to take full advantage of the scholarship opportunities, as they are only open to those who completed an A'level education. He added that A'level education provides access to educational opportunities at universities, making it the ideal pathway for further academic pursuits.

Furthermore, Minister Hassan stressed the importance of developing good character and acquiring knowledge and practical skills relevant to their chosen field. He also urged the students to cultivate resilience in the face of challenges and foster the ability to overcome adversity with courage.
