Ministry of Islamic Affairs has arranged to hold mass prayer congregations for Eid-al-Adha in four areas in the Greater Male' Region.
The prayer congregations will be held at the Maafannu Stadium, the Hulhumale’ synthetic track and cricket stadium, and the Villingili Football Ground. In addition, Eid prayers would also be held at 25 mosques in Male', Villimale' and Hulhumale' and designated mosques in all inhabited islands across the country. These include 17 mosques in the capital city, three mosques in Hulhumale' Phase I, two mosques in Hulhumale' Phase II, two mosques in Hulhule', and one mosque in Villimale'.
The prayer congregations will also be held in Hulhumale' Phase II due to the increasing population. Eid-al-Adha falls on June 28, according to the calendar.
