Maldives Post launches eTukuri mobile application

Minister of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology, Aminath Shauna, has officially launched the eTukuri mobile application.

During the launching ceremony, Adam Mohamed, the Managing Director of Maldives Post, highlighted the remarkable progress made in the development of the country's postal service. He proudly announced that Maldives Post was honored with the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Gold Award in 2022 for providing the best Express Mail Service (EMS), surpassing 174 countries in the rankings. Mr. Mohamed assured the public that the national post office remains dedicated to delivering excellent services to citizens.

The eTukuri mobile application features a unique component called the community online shop, which enables users to buy and sell products from online shops specific to each island. Maldives Post aims to promote the participation of atoll-based businesses on this online platform to expand their market reach across the entire country and facilitate product deliveries through the postal service.

Furthermore, the eTukuri mobile application allows businesses to capture photos of their products and showcase them on the community online shop. It also provides customers with the option to pre-order products. The platform has been designed to empower small and medium-sized enterprises, enabling them to sell and deliver goods to customers within the Maldives and even worldwide.

With the introduction of the eTukuri mobile application, Maldives Post aims to revolutionize the e-commerce landscape and support local businesses in reaching a wider customer base while leveraging the postal service's delivery capabilities.
