President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has pledged to connect Faresmaaathoda and nearby Kalhaidhoo and build a 100-bed city hotel in Vaadhoo. He made the pledges during his visit to Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
During a campaign event in Vaadhoo, President Solih vowed to initiative numerous development projects in Vaadhoo if he is elected for a second term. As such, he pledged to build a city hotel, upgrade the health centre, provide sports-related resources, develop the roads, and commence housing projects.
During his visit to Faresmaathoda, President Solih pledged to commence a land reclamation project and connect Faresmaathoda to nearby Kalhaidhoo. He also pledged to build a city hotel near the airport, commence a housing project, and develop the roads.
President Solih, the candidate of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), is currently visiting the atolls and inaugurating various infrastructure projects completed by his administration.
