President pledges to solve major institutional problems

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has pledged to solve major institutional problems in his second term. He made the remark while unveiling his manifesto's policies on creating a safe society at a campaign event in Ukulhas, Alifu Alifu Atoll.

Speaking at the event, President Solih highlighted that his administration has been able to instill peace and security in the country, unlike previous governments, but said that some problems persist due to existing institutional issues. As such, he pledged to introduce new legislation to bring major institutional changes in his second term.

Additionally, President Solih highlighted the need to expand rehabilitation initiatives and build a productive and prosperous generation along with compassionate families and safe communities. He said that he will implement major economic changes and establish good governance in this regard.

Furthermore, President Solih detailed his plans for the development of Ukulhas for his second term. His initiatives included building flats, developing roads, a large mosque, and a seaplane platform. He also pledged to develop a picnic island on a nearby lagoon and a modern hospital in the region.
