RDC to develop roads in three islands

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has contracted Road Development Corporation Limited (RDC) to develop roads in three islands. The agreement was signed by Secretary General at the Planning Ministry Shaana Farooq and General Manager at RDC Ahmed Shihad.

RDC has been contracted to complete road development projects in Isdhoo-Kalaidhoo and Maavah in Laamu Atoll and Naifaru in Lhaviyani Atoll. RDC is tasked with developing 4.39km of roads in Isdhoo-Kalaidhoo within 730 days at a cost of USD9 million. The project includes the development of drainage systems and the installation of street lights.

Additionally, RDC is tasked with developing 1.9km of roads in Maavah within 540 days at a cost of USD3.3 million. The project includes the development of drainage systems and the installation of street lights.

Furthermore, RDC is tasked with developing 2.7km of roads in Naifaru within 720 days at a cost of USD6.2 million. The project includes the development of drainage systems and the installation of street lights.
