MTCC provides free transit for higher education students

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has decided to provide free bus and ferry travel for higher education students.

MTCC stated that students of colleges and universities can now use their student cards to use their transit services free of charge. The decision was made as part of its efforts to provide convenient transit services to citizens.

Currently, MTCC transit services are provided free of charge to individuals above 65 years of age as well as children under three years old. In addition, people with disabilities can also use the services for free using the card issued by the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA). Students can also use the service for free if they are wearing their school uniform.

Additionally, MTCC has recently begun operating its bus services between Male' City and Hulhumale' 24 hours a day. The company also operates minibus services in Male' and Villimale' and bus services in Addu City and Fuvahmulah City and has decided to commence bus services in Dhidhdhoo next week.
