Gov't offers Inclusive Education Scholarships 2023

The Ministry of Higher Education has opened applications for Teachers for Inclusive Education Scholarship 2023. Interested teachers can apply through the MyEdu portal before October 5.

The government-funded scholarship offers four slots for a Master of Autism and three slots for a Master of Educational Assistive Technology in the United Kingdom (UK). To be eligible, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have at least two years of experience in a government school.

The higher education ministry stated that the government of the Maldives will cover all expenses, including return tickets, stipends, book allowances, course fees, establishment allowances, departure allowances, insurance, and visa expenses. The scholarship scheme aims to train teachers to support students with special needs in line with inclusive education policies, fostering a more inclusive society. The goal is to bring positive change to the lives of students with special learning needs through well-trained teachers.

Upon completing courses, scholarship candidates will be required to work in a school or educational institution designated by the ministry.
