President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the Sinamalé Bridge is the most iconic and transformational development project carried out in the Maldives.
In an interview with China Xinhua News, President-elect Muizzu said that China and the Maldives have a good relationship that goes back years, resulting in many development projects and close cooperation being carried out successfully in the country. He also said that the Sinamalé Bridge is the most iconic and transformational development project carried out in the Maldives.
As such, President-elect Muizzu said that the project has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people not only living in Male' but also visiting the region. He also said that the residents received an uplift because of the project that has connected Male' City and Hulhumale'. He added that the Chinese government has contributed to other belt and road projects in the Maldives such as housing and airport development projects.
