MIFCO introduces rebranded logo

The Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Limited (MIFCO) has introduced a rebranded logo, marking the occasion of its 30th anniversary.

The official launch of the logo coincided with its anniversary, while the actual logo transformation took place in June of this year. MIFCO has stated that the new logo, featuring Dhivehi script, is designed for official documentation and to endure as a timeless symbol representing the company in the future. Crafted in the shape of a fish, the design aims to capture the essence of the thriving fishing industry in the Maldives.

MIFCO was established in 1993 as a stated-owned fish company and was founded with the goal of strengthening the fisheries sector to contribute to the economic growth of the Maldives. The past five years have witnessed significant strides, while progress was modest in its initial three decades. Ambitious projects have also been initiated to enhance the company's capabilities, involving the acquisition of fishing vessels and the development of harbours to increase storage capacity.

MIFCO currently boasts a workforce of 1,692 employees and operates across four regions. The company has strategically positioned 20 ice plants throughout the country and uses 14 vessels for fish processing. The endeavors underscore the company's commitment to advancing the fisheries sector and fortifying its role in the economic landscape of the Maldives.
