Kendhoo School converts to single-session classes

Kendhoo School has converted to single-session classes following the construction of new classrooms.

Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali inaugurated eight newly built classrooms and multipurpose hall at Kendhoo school. The school now consists of 16 classrooms, with 252 students enrolled in classes up to Grade 10.

The ministry has decided to make all newly developed schools hold single-session classes, requiring school sessions to begin at 0800hrs and end at 1400hrs. If there is no major event at school, students will spend their evenings and the weekends at home.

All four newly opened schools in the Greater Male' Region are holding single-session classes, and many schools in the atolls have also been converted to single sessions. Overall, the government has converted 30 schools to single sessions.
