Two new food outlets opened at VIA

Two new food outlets have been opened at Velana International Airport (VIA).

Food outlets from Grape Expectations Private Limited and global restaurateur HMSHost were opened at the international departure terminal. Grape Expectations opened The Grape, which is the company's first food outlet. HMSHost opened an outlet operated by KFC, Costa Coffee and Grab and Fly. The two companies have been managing restaurants at VIA since 2018.

The outlets were inaugurated at a special ceremony by Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) Ibrahim Shareef, Managing Director of Grape Expectations Amir Mansoor and Operations Manager of HMSHost Sravan Patnaik. Speaking to journalists, Managing Director ACL Shareef said that MACL aims to provide excellent services to departing passengers. He expressed confidence that the newly opened food outlets will ease the convenience of those arriving at the airport.

MACL built the international departure forecourt to provide a wide array of products and brands to passengers as well as to develop and enhance the services provided by the airport.
