Gov't to provide housing to all Male' residents within five years

Minister of Housing, Land, and Urban Development Dr. Ali Haidar Ahmed has expressed commitment to provide housing for all residents in the Greater Male' Region within the five-year term of the administration. He made the remarks during a ceremony unveiling the two-bedroom apartments at the Aman Dhoadhi towers, a project undertaken by Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Limited (FDC).

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Haidar highlighted the significance of the initiative, assuring that numerous projects aligned with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's housing policies will be initiated. He also emphasised the government's ambitious goal of ensuring that every family or household in the Greater Male' Region has access to housing by the end of the five-year term, noting ongoing efforts in the direction.

Aman Dhoadhi is among the 32 towers currently under construction by National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) India Limited in Hulhumale' Phase II, as part of the Aman Udhares housing project. The towers feature a mix of three-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. To showcase the design and quality, FDC has revealed the model units of the two-bedroom units within the Aman Dhoadhi towers. These units exemplify a standard layout with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, and a balcony.

FDC is actively developing 4,000 housing units in Hulhumale', encompassing 1,200 two-bedroom units and 2,800 three-bedroom units. Among these, NBCC is responsible for constructing 2,000 of the housing units.
