PGO files over 200 charges in K-Park fraud case

The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has filed over 200 charges against Hassan Mamdhooh and Jaishan Saeed in connection to the K-Park fraud case.

The PGO filed 104 charges against Hassan Mamdhooh, who is accused of swindling large sums of money while selling apartments from the K-Park Residence building in Hulhumale'. Mamdhooh is the minority shareholder of Hanbo Company involved in the development of the K-Park Residence condominium complex. The charges against him include knowingly providing invalid documents with intent to defraud a person, fraud and money laundering.

The PGO filed 97 charges against Jaishan. The charges against him include fraud and knowingly providing invalid documents with intent to defraud a person.

The police have raided the Mamdhooh's penthouse apartment and confiscated numerous expensive items. The PGO has stated that he bought his penthouse in the FW Residence complex in Hulhumale' with money deposited by various individuals to Hanbo Company Private Limited to purchase the K-Park apartments. The PGO revealed that the penthouse cost USD512,000 and consisted of luxury items such as jewelry, handbags, and beauty products from world famous brands worth millions. The apartment itself was also vacated and brought under police custody.

The investigation found that each apartment at the K-Park Residence was sold to multiple people, with a total of 41 apartments being sold to 107 people. The PGO stated that the charges were filed on behalf of 51 victims.
