Gov't says speed of progress will meet expectations of citizens

Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed has stated that the speed of progress for government projects will meet the expectations of the people. He made the statement in a post on X after concluding his visit to Haa Alifu Atoll.

Minister Saeed visited 14 islands of Haa Alifu Atoll with a delegation consisting of senior officials of the ministry and heads of government institutions. Teams led by ministers and heads of government-owned companies are visiting the atolls as part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's commitment to build stronger ties between government, local councils, and communities.

The teams began traveling to the atolls under the instruction of President Muizzu. The purpose of the trips is to hear the concerns and expectations of citizens. The President has vowed that senior officials of his government will travel to various parts of the country as part of his administration's commitment to work closely with the people. As such, they will meet with citizens during series of trips as part of their responsibility of running the government.
