Nimal resigns as President of Kaafu Atoll Council

Mohamed Nimal has resigned as President of Kaafu Atoll Council.

In a post on X, Nimal said he submitted his resignation as his current situation requires him to live away from his constituency, making it difficult for him to fulfill his responsibilities. Nimal, who was elected in 2021, thanked the constituents for giving him the opportunity to serve as the President of the Male' Atoll Council. He also thanked the council employees for their hard work in achieving the goals he set out during his tenure.

Additionally, Nimal said that the people of Male' Atoll have high expectations in achieving many things in various fields and expressed confidence that the entire atoll will be transformed under the leadership of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

Nimal was the first Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Limited after its established in 2012. He also served in a political position in the Maldives embassy in Sri Lanka.
