President embraces governance as a profound responsibility, rather a pleasure

During the 61st Anniversary celebration of Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu (DRA), President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has shared his enduring belief that governing is not a source of pleasure but a profound responsibility and trust.

In a special segment of the programme, Sheikh Shuaib Abdul Rahman, one of President Dr. Muizzu's teachers and an influential Islamic figure, provided valuable advice. Sheikh Shuaib Abdul Rahman, who holds a significant role as President Dr. Muizzu's Islamic teacher, spoke with the President during the show, highlighting the gravity of governing and imparting guidance rooted in the teachings of the Holy Prophet.

Sheikh Shuaib Abdul Rahman urged the President to view the role of the government not as a pleasure but as a weighty responsibility, drawing inspiration from the hadiths of the Holy Prophet. In response, President Dr. Muizzu expressed gratitude for the advice and assured the teacher that he would adhere to the guidance provided. He emphasised his commitment to following the instructions of his esteemed teacher.
