Maldives strongly condemns bombings in Kerman, Iran

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has sent a message of condolence to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, following the bombings in Kerman, Iran.

In his message, President Dr. Muizzu noted his shock and horror on learning of the bombings in Kerman, Iran, which claimed the lives of nearly a hundred innocent civilians and injured many.

The President stated that the senseless targeting of civilians is a gross violation of international human rights laws, showing blatant disregard for the sanctity of life. He further stated that the Government of the Maldives strongly condemns this cowardly act of terrorism.

Concluding his message, the President relayed condolences to the bereaved families and those affected by this heinous attack. President Dr Muizzu stated that the Maldives remains firm in its commitment to fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, adding that such acts of cruelty have no place in this world.
