President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that every citizen in Male' City will have their housing issues resolved by the conclusion of the administration's five-year term.
Speaking at a gathering in Male', President Dr. Muizzu emphasised that housing is the biggest issue in Male'. He committed to addressing the issue since taking office, citing ongoing efforts such as the reclamation projects in Gulhifalhu, Hulhumale', Giraavaru Falhu, and Ras Male'. He also assured that the housing isse of every resident in Male' would be effectively tackled through the initiatives.
Additionally, President Dr. Muizzu reiterated the government's housing vision, highlighting the facilitation of house construction in the reclaimed areas through loans with a 5% interest rate. He also reaffirmed his dedication to fulfilling promises made during his campaign. He mentioned the transfer of Hulhumale' municipal services to the Male' City Council and the reduction of rent for Hulhumale' Phase I housing units. He also assured the public that he will diligently work to honor his pledges.
