Maldives takes part in Hajj, Umrah Services Conference

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has participated in the inaugural ceremony of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition.

The international event is being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia until January 11. It includes, scientific sessions, workshops, and training seminars, featuring influential decision-makers, experts, academics, and researchers dedicated to Hajj and Umrah. The primary objective of this year's conference is to increase efforts in enhancing and strengthening services for pilgrims. A focus is also placed on elevating the quality of pilgrimages and enriching the religious and cultural experiences of the attendees.

Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs Ali Ahsan, Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Usam Mohamed Saeed, and Managing Director of Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited Mohamed Shakeel were among the participants at the conference.

Minister Shaheem is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia as part of an invitation extended by Minister of Hajj Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiyah. During the visit, Minister Shaheem is engaging in discussions with the leaders of institutions from various Islamic countries, exploring avenues for technical and financial cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs.
