Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has affirmed that the administration of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will not conceal any mistakes it makes. Speaking at a campaign event for Aishath Azima Shakoor, who is vying in the by-election for the Mayor of Male' City, Vice President Hussein Mohamed Lateef emphasized President Muizzu's commitment to achieving full decentralization for the benefit of the people.
The Vice President highlighted that upon assuming office, President Muizzu promptly delegated extensive powers to the councils in accordance with the Decentralisation Act, underscoring the government's dedication to empowering local authorities.
Furthermore, Vice President Lateef assured the public that the government is transparent about its errors, expressing a commitment to explaining and addressing issues with the utmost transparency.
In addition, the vice president emphasised the government's diligent efforts to fulfill the promises made by President Dr. Muizzu to the people. He reassured that the administration will persistently uphold this commitment to the betterment of the nation.
