The Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) has commended the government's economic policies, expressing satisfaction with the measures aimed at strengthening the nation's economy.
Speaking at a press conference, President of MNCCI Shahmeed Abdulla conveyed the association's contentment with the government's economic initiatives. He emphasised the significance of these measures for the future of the Maldives, adding that they would contribute to a brighter economic outlook for the country.
Additionally, Shahmeed Abdulla acknowledged the existing challenges faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the general public, such as the appreciation of the United States (US) dollar, and fluctuations in commodity prices. He highlighted the government's proactive steps in reinforcing the economy, ensuring currency stability, and facilitating affordable goods for the public, despite the challenges.
