PSM and MPL sign two agreements

Public Service Media (PSM) and Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) have formalised their collaboration through the signing of two agreements. The agreements were signed at a ceremony held at MPL.

The first agreement between PSM and MPL focuses on mutual assistance between the companies. Managing Director Zeena Zahir and Deputy Managing Director Abdulla Yameen signed the agreement on behalf of PSM and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MPL Mohamed Wajeeh Ibrahim and Deputy CEO Ali Hashim signed the agreement on behalf of MPL.

Speaking after the signing of the first agreement, Zeena expressed the company's commitment made to delivering accurate information to the public through collaboration with government entities, emphasising the need for cooperation among such organisations. She praised the dedicated MPL employees and highlighted the role of PSM in effectively communicating the initiatives of MPL to the public.

Meanwhile, Wajeeh affirmed the company's support for PSM in its various activities outlined in the agreement. He anticipated that the collaboration would enhance outreach and services of PSM to the public, expressing the enthusiasm of MPL for its involvement in this initiative.

The second agreement solidified the partnership between PSM and MPL as organisers of the inaugural Maldives Maritime Conference. The agreement was signed by Zeena Zahir and General Manager of MPL Aishath Shimla.

Following the signing, Shimla emphasised the uniqueness of the conference in the Maldives, anticipating participation from international experts. She outlined the conference's goal of addressing transportation challenges and seeking solutions, drawing on the expertise of international port professionals.

MPL confirmed that the conference is scheduled for March 6, marking the initiation of a series of conferences of this nature.

PSM stated that it continues its collaborative efforts with the government and various state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to disseminate information about the services provided by these entities.
