President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and Saudi Fund for Development Chief Executive Officer Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad have discussed expanding development cooperation between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
The two officials held talks on Tuesday afternoon during Al-Marshad’s courtesy call on President Muizzu at the Official Residence of the President, Mulee’aage.
President Muizzu thanked the Saudi Fund for Development and the Saudi government for their continued support for the Maldives’ development.
Al-Marshad highlighted the strategic partnership between the Fund and the Maldives, stressing the importance of strengthening a relationship that has developed over several decades.
The two sides also reflected on the Saudi Fund’s longstanding contribution to development projects across the Maldives and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation.
