The government has stated that it will use all means and resources to bring anyone who commits terrorist and violent acts to justice.
The Minister at the President’s Office for Strategic Communications, Ibrahim Khaleel, said the government strongly condemns the assault on Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem and that the incident is being treated as a serious case. He also said the security services will remain vigilant to prevent such violent crimes from repeating.
Additionally, Khaleel said the government will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of public servants in responsible positions and will always work to maintain the peace and security in the country. He added that the government will not give any room for terrorist activities.
Furthermore, Khaleel wished the Prosecutor General a speedy recovery and expressed hope that he would be able to return to his official duties soon after treatment.
