President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has nominated three candidates to the Parliament of the Maldives for consideration for membership in the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Abdul Haseef Ismail, Fathimath Habeeba, and Mariyam Shahidha are among the individuals who applied for the position and whose names have been put forward to the Parliament. The Parliament has also decided to refer the names to the Parliamentary Committee on Independence Institutions for review.
The President's Office initiated the application process for CSC membership in December, subsequent to the conclusion of the term of former member Fathimath Amira.
The CSC consists of the president, vice-president and three members. The commission currently comprises President Mohamed Nasih, Vice President Ibrahim Rasheed and members Mohamed Farsath and Fatimath Shareef.
