President addresses community concerns in Hirilandhoo

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) of Hirilandhoo, Thaa Atoll. The meeting, held at the Fenaka office in Vandhoo, provided a platform for the council members to communicate the island community's most pressing concerns and needs.

During the session, the council members highlighted the challenges arising from the suspension of developmental projects, with a specific emphasis on the importance of the land reclamation project. Additionally, the council urged the prompt implementation of a water sanitation system before the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. They also brought attention to urgent issues related to the island's budget allocation.

The Hirilandhoo WDC shared their concerns and needs, particularly focusing on the state of health services on the island.

In response to these concerns, President Dr. Muizzu reassured the attendees that relevant government ministries would work closely with the council to find mutually agreeable solutions.

Accompanied by a delegation of high-level government officials, the President is actively addressing and responding to the immediate needs of the community during this visit.
