President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu attended the Invest Maldives 2024 Dubai, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This forum aims to bring together investors and business leaders from around the globe and serves as a platform to showcase the unique investment opportunities in the Maldives.
The Forum was organised by Invest Maldives and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. It featured a video presentation to showcase strategic investment areas and a Keynote Address by the President.
Addressing the Forum, President highlighted that as an emerging economy and a small island developing state, challenges Maldives face are numerous in the face of tight liquidity in the global markets and fiscal challenges arising from the appetite to enhance the growth trajectory through considerable investments into key infrastructure.
The President is currently in the UAE to attend the World Governments Summit 2024, held from February 12–14, 2024
